It is like an exhibition. Especially, to showcase the talents of the tribal communities (Aadivaasi).

India is a land of cultures and traditions. On one hand, the entire world knows this fact. Still, a lot of communities are not even known and recognized in India!! Thus, exploring their cultures remains far-off! Therefore, TRIFED, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, took the initiative to bring such tribes in front of the world.

Aadi-Mahotsav, held annually, acts as a stage for the craftsmen and artisans. From Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in North to Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the south. And from the Seven Sisters in the East to the Scorching Thar in the West. Hence, the cultures of the known and unknown tribes can be seen in this fun-fair.

This event acts like a bridge that reduces the differences and brings closer the Tribals and the Urban.

A lot of new and interesting information comes to us via this educational fair. Also, one gets to interact with these individuals and know more about the way they work. The artisans get a market. Hence, bringing them monetary benefits. Ultimately, empowering them.

Handicrafts and artistic stuff are not the only limitations in the fair! It has a lot more to offer!

Though, the silks and jute textiles, the handcrafted jewelry, and the intricately designed decoratives attract a lot of tourists. But, the food stalls called Aadi-Vyanjan, are no different! Tasting such a variety of dishes is surely a dream come true for all the foodies out there!

Apart from being a food paradise, the fair also offers you entertainment. Through the dances and songs, the music encompassing the serenity of the place surely gives goosebumps. It is like traveling to the place- the song came from, without moving a step!

The Aadi-Mahotsav 2021 fair is open to one and all! While keeping all the precautions, it has turned out to be a wonderful event. The general ticket for entry into the fest is 30 Rs. for adults and 20 Rs. for children. A chance for the people of the capital to Go Vocal for Local! Altogether, it is a must-visit fair!
