Actor Soumitra Chatterjee sudden Demise: Covid-19

The unfortunate demise of Legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee (85). Yes, the actor died because of Covid-19. He is known for his collaboration with Satyajit Ray. Moreover, Soumitra Chatterjee got Padma Bhushan, Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.

In his initial days, he got rejected for the role of Apu. Later, in the third part of the Apu Trilogy Soumitra made his debut in Apur Sansar (1959). He made his debut with Satyajit Ray. All in all, they both worked together on 14 different films. Some of them include Abhijan, Charulata, Ashani Sanket, Joi Baba Felunath, and so on and so forth.

This is the picture of two legendary actors in one frame.

Shabana Azmi, one of the known actors enormously mourned the actors’ death. In addition to this, actor Shabana Azmi worked with Soumitra on a couple of occasions. Perhaps, they had a chit chat about life, fame, and much more.

She told in Paris there is a prestigious Centre Georges Pompidou (The Centre Pompidou). So, somewhere in 80′ it organized a show in which Soumitra came. Moreover, She got stunned by seeing how French people showered love on Soumitra and called him “Apu”. In addition to this, they all rushed towards him for photographs. To all this, Soumitra replied this is because of Ray made all the characters so memorable for me and for my fans.

Although there are bundles of stories that popped up. But this one is of the utmost important.

Nevertheless, RIP the legendary actor.
