Are you aware about the International Men’s Day?

Today is 19th November. Wondering why I am telling you guys date? Because today is INTERNATIONAL MEN’S DAY. Each year, this day is celebrated globally. The reason being, to bring in the limelight all those men who have made some positive difference to society.

However, suicides are the largest killer of men. According to Charity Calm, talking, and having conversations about mental health is very crucial these days.

When International men’s day celebrated?

This day is celebrated on 19th November every year. Surprisingly, this day coincides with the birthday of the father of Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh.
Perhaps there are bundles of people who don’t know about this day.


Previously, One person tweets that on 8th March every year is International Women’s Day. Why is International Men’s day not celebrated on some date? Hence, there is feminism which is existing all over the world.

Motive of celebrating?

The motive of celebrating this day is to raise awareness of the issues faced by men. These include mental health issues, toxic masculinity, and suicides.
According to support charity Samaritans, in the UK men commit suicide more as compared to women every year.

Moreover, this day coincides with the month of No shave November. This involves men growing their facial hairs. The reason is to promote mental health issues, suicides, so on, and so forth.
According to Dr. Teelucksingh, “International men’s day is a part of the global love revolution”.

Furthermore, It is necessary to talk about mental health these days. Perhaps you never know what one person might be feeling deep inside. On the top, be good with everyone you meet.
