Blackouts, Conspiracies, US elections, and Donald Trump

Since this Sunday morning, an uneven range of acts has been happening. Firstly, Pakistan went into a complete state of blackouts. The nation’s Guddu power plant cultivated a fault. Thus, leading to the trip of high transmission lines. As per their power minister Omar Ayyub Khan tweet,

 “The fault tripped the transmission system of the country… leading to the shutdown of power plants.”

Later, he posted tweets about the progress coupled with the restoration of the power supply. Moreover, the power cut thumped all major cities including Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.

Eventually, the internet connection went down. As per netblocks, the connectivity was at 62% of ordinary levels.

Secondly, the tidings of the Vatican City blackout came into existence. It was witnessed in the YouTube live stream of the Vatican news channel. In addition, the channel’s concern is on news of the sacred city and the pope.

The reason behind these blackouts?

Specifically, there are no reliable shreds of evidence for why these blackouts occurred. On one hand, folks on social media are linking these events to US elections. They are citing in their posts regarding some conspiracy theory.

On the other hand, some individuals remarks these as nothing but technical power failure.

For the time being, there are no official statements regarding power failure (blackouts) in Vatican.

Recent updates in connection with blackouts

The power is now revived in the majority of areas in Pakistan. In like manner, the Vatican is back on power track after facing hours of groundless blackout.

and Google


Social networking app Parler knock out by Amazon, Apple, and Google from its platforms. The reason is invoking violence and outrageous content.

Parler, A social media network launched in the year 2018, presents itself as a free speech. It’s an alternative to Twitter and Facebook, which is currently virtually homeless on the internet. Because Amazon, Apple, and Google have all cut it off from their platforms temporarily.

Why Parler app booted by Amazon, Google, and Apple 

On Friday, Google suspended the Parler social networking service from its app store. The reason is US President Donald Trump’s posts provoking violence and violence at the Capitol building. First, Apple and Google removed the app from their app stores for allegedly instigating violence in the US Capitol.

Then on late Saturday, Amazon also said it is booting Parler off its web hosting services.

Parler is an American microblogging and popular social network with conservatives. Further, it has been used massively by followers of President Donald Trump. Also, it including some of those who engaged in Wednesday’s US Capitol unrest.  Both Google and Apple have come under pressure to remove the app. Indeed, the pressure comes two days after a pro-Trump crowd stormed the Capitol, driven by President Trump.

At the same time, Facebook and Instagram have banned Trump from using the platform for the remainder of his term as US President. Besides, Gaming platform Twitch and multimedia messaging app Snapchat likewise have disabled Trump’s accounts.

Various other digital platforms, like YouTube, etc, have imposed restrictions on him using their platforms.
According to experts’ speculation, Trump might pop up on Parler, a two-year-old magnet that claims 12 million users.

Also, where his sons Eric and Don Jr. is already active. According to Sensor Tower, an app data firm, more than 80% of downloads of the Parler app came from the United States.

On Thursday, the day after the riot in Washington, people downloaded Parler 39,000 times, more than twice as much as the day prior.
