Google’s First-ever Physical Store in the COVID-19 Pandemic
Most people may prefer shopping for smartphones online, as it is safe and convenient. However, as per Google, “Many customers still want to experience hardware before they buy it…” So, it is clear that Google believes that even today, customers still prefer to check out and buy products from an offline store. Therefore, the tech giant decided to provide a better shopping experience to the customers.
Considering the safety risks around the ongoing pandemic, Google has taken several measures for it. The company will ensure that proper sanitation, masks, and social distancing will be followed in the store. It will clean the complete store and spaces many times throughout the day. Further, only limited guests shall be allowed at a particular point in time.
The store will have a separate team of experts who will help customers facing various issues with their Google products. It includes troubleshooting devices, fixing or replacing a shattered screen, and installations. Coming to the Google ‘bricks and mortar’ store, it will offer a pickup service for customers who have placed the order online.
As of now, no exact date has been announced for the launch of the store. However, you can expect the store to open for the public in the summer this year. So, are you excited for Google’s first-ever physical store in New York? Do let us know in the comments section.
