India Toy Fair 2021: Indian toys to witness the global playground!
1st March 2021, Pertaining to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission of “Vocal For Local”, the Government of India, has taken a grand initiative to launch ‘India Toy Fair 2021’. The Hon’ble PM of India has, from time to time, mentioned his vision of turning India into a self-sufficient and self-dependant country! This vision comes under the Atma-Nirbhar Bharat. He wishes to achieve this vision by 2022 to mark 75 years of India’s Independence.
Making a new India, culminating traditions but with a Modern Outlook
India’s industries with local artisans are a way of realising this great dream! India’s Toy Industry is also a crucial one! The toys from the Indian artisans have the capability of impressing everyone across the globe! Therefore, keeping the immense capabilities in mind, Government of India has started a ‘Toycathon’, i.e., an online hackathon for Innovation in the toy and game industry. The toys have to showcase the Indian culture, art , history, mythology and civilization all together!
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this First Virtual Toy Fair. This was done on 27th February at 11 am.
Toys can be an excellent medium to further the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’

It is being held from 27th February to 2nd March, 2021.

It’s intriguing to watch all the stores virtually. Also, there is a huge variety comprising action and toy figures, arts, crafts and traditional toys, toddler toys, indoor games, electronic toys…etc. The list is endless! We even have an option to learn the process of the creation during the timings given for the auditorium.
Under the State Pavillion, we get an option to view the Toys specifically of the state we choose! It is wonderful to see such talented people coming forward. The level of creativity displayed, is truly commendable.
Surely, it is a fabulous opportunity for the kids. As they are tired of not being able to buy new toys, and for parents as they can buy toys with the comfort of home. However, the advantages don’t end here. The Indian Toy Fair 2021, with India’s rich cultural heritage at heart, and the mechanics of the modern world will definitely take people back to their roots!
