Vidhan Sabha election results 2021 for five states announced

Firstly, the election results for the legislative assembly or Vidhan Sabha for the five states of India have been announced today. The five states are Assam, Pudhuchery, Tamilnadu, Kerala and West Bengal. Futhermore, the elections were held between 27 of March till 29 of April. Subsequently, the party that wins the elections will establish its rule for the next five years and the selected member from the party will become the chief minister and head of that state.

The Vidhan Sabha election results :

Assam

Assam legislative assembly has a total of 126 seats. Between March 27th to April 6th of 2021 there was elections in three phases. In Assam a party needs a majority of 64 seats to establish its rule and BJP has secured 81 seats and is leading the poll.

Earlier government lead by Mr.Sarbananda Sonowal of Bharatiya Janatha Party

Currently won party Bharathiya Janatha Party

Kerala

Kerala has a total of 140 seats. The election was on the 6th of April. While the majority is 70, this time LDF has won a clean margin of 90 seats maximum.

Earlier government lead by Mr. Binarayi Vijayan of Left Democratic Front

Currently won party Left Democratic Front

Puducherry

Puducherry is a bit tricky one where anyone can get the margin with only 30 seats in the Vidhan sabha. Initially, Puducherry had presidents rule due to internal issues. This time All India NR Congress (AINRC)has hit the polls and leading it

Earlier there was presidents rule

Currently won NDA (National Democratic Alliance) led by AINRC

Tamilnadu

Tamilnadu has a total of 234 seats the election was held on the 6th of April 2021, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in which Dravida Munnetra Kalagam has won 141 seats and they are leading.

Earlier won party lead by Edappadi. K. Palaniswamy of AIADMK

Currently won Party Dravida Munnetra Kalagam

West Bengal

West Bengal has 292 seats and the election was held between the 27th of March to 29th of April 2021. Also voting for two constituencies is delayed by the 16th of May 2021. A party needs 148 seats for holding the government.

The earlier ruling party lead by Mamatha Banerjee of All India Trinamool Congress

Currently won Party All India Trinamool Congress
