Shiksha Parv 2021: PM Modi addresses the teachers and students

Recently, PM Modi made an address to the teachers and students during the inaugural conclave of ‘Shiksha Parv.’ The address took place via video conferencing.

PM Modi launched various initiatives in the sector of education. The Ministry of Education (MoE) is celebrating Shiksha Parv 2021, dated 5-17 September. This event recognizes the valuable contribution of teachers. Moreover, the initiative plans to take National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 a step ahead.

PM Modi launched five different initiatives on the occasion:
  • Sign language dictionary of 10,000 words.
  • Talking books (also, audiobooks for the visually impaired)
  • School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (SQAAF)
  • NISHTHA teacher’s training program for the NIPUN Bharat
  • Vidyanjali portal for facilitating volunteers in the field of education, donors, and CSR contributors for the development of education

PM Modi also emphasized that teachers have rightly tackled all the challenges during the global pandemic. They have continued imparting education through online classes, video conferencing, and online exams. Earlier, even teachers were not familiar with the concepts of online education. But, teachers made the online system a part of the normal learning process.

Furthermore, PM Modi added that the Vidyanjali portal will help students through community participation. Addressing the past, PM Modi said that we have dealt with many problems through community participation. It is time we realize our strength to help the education sector in our country. Also, be it a research scholar or any other professional can volunteer in their capacity.

The participation of the people has always been an important aspect of the government’s decision-making. The Prime Minister stated examples of programs like ‘Swachh Bharat’ and boost in a digital transaction.

PM Modi expressed his opinion that such programs could never have been possible without the support of the citizens.

PM Modi also mentioned that he has requested all the Olympians and Paralympians to visit 75 schools. Their visits will mark the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. PM believes that these sportspeople will inspire students to pursue sports in the future.
