In today’s scenario, due to our busy schedules of studying and working, we all are ignoring our health on a serious scale. Some of us are ignoring to do the exercises properly and some of us are not taking diet appropriately. These habits are leading to us the stage where are going to end up having many incurable diseases. One of them which is most commonly known as Diabetes.
Consequences of Diabetes
Being a long-term lifestyle chronic disease, Diabetes causes high blood sugar. It causes a condition where there is a decrement in the body’s ability to process glucose. Our body produces a hormone called Insulin. It takes the sugar from the blood to the cells where it can be used to produce energy. However, in this case, the body is not able to produce enough insulin. Or if it does, the body wouldn’t be able to use it effectively. Therefore, it increases the sugar level in the blood.
There are approximately 72.96 million cases of diabetes in the adult population of India. There are many types of diabetes depending upon the causes and risk factors. When the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys insulin-producing beta cells, causes Type 1 diabetes. Being overweight or obese increases your chances of having type 2 diabetes. Gestational diabetes is the result of hormonal changes during pregnancy. Both genes and environmental factors cause bottom line diabetes. It can damage your nerves, eyes, kidneys, and other organs, if not treated properly. Also, it increases many chances of having heart diseases, vision loss, foot disease, skin diseases, and even depression.
Treatments for Diabetes
There are few medications available for diabetes either by taking the drug in the mouth or by having insulin injections. The most famous treatment, Dialysis is also available. But it is a very costly, painful, and long-duration process. For type 1 diabetes, Insulin is the treatment. It replaces the hormone your body isn’t able to produce. Diet and exercise can help some people manage type 2 diabetes. In the case of pregnancy, one needs to monitor the sugar level in the blood several times. Eating the right type of foods can both control your blood sugar and help you lose any excess weight. But all of them are really long duration process.
However, a team of doctors from Osmania General Hospital has found a spiritual way for the treatment of diabetes. That is the part of the Hindu epic Mahabharata, the teachings of Lord Krishna, and the holy book of Hinduism, The Bhagavad Gita. The Gita is set in a narrative framework of a dialogue between prince Arjuna and his guide Krishna, an Avatar of the god Vishnu. The researchers say that the communication could be used to get out of the illness as they include the shlokas which talk about the various situations of life.
They said that”
The researchers strongly recommended the utilization of the teachings of Bhagavad Gita.
One should definitely try this spiritual method so as to get effective results and a better lifestyle.
