With WWDC 2021 wrapping off, Apple seems to be gearing up for its iPad mini 6 launches later this year along with the new Apple iPhone series. As per the latest leaked renders, we have the first look at Apple iPad mini 6. Let us know more about it below:
iPad Mini 6 Renders
Well-known Apple leaker Jon Prosser from FrontPageTech has shared the 3D renders of the new iPad mini that shows the complete look of the device. As per the leaker, the renders are created using “a blend schematics, CAD files, and as well as hands-on images” of the device. Here is the first look at the possible Apple iPad mini 6.
Prosser believes that the new iPad boasts a major redesign after six years. However, it still possesses the same squared, boxy design we all are familiar with.
He emphasized a recent report from Mark Gurman (Bloomberg), which says that Apple might remove the home button on the iPad mini to provide a bigger display. It will be a refreshing look and design for all iPad enthusiasts and tech lovers around the world.
According to the leaks, the latest iPad mini features a slightly bigger display than the current iPad mini. Further, it will have the dimensions 206.3mm x 137.8mm x 6.1mm. Prosser claims that the Apple iPad mini 6 will look similar to the iPad Air of 2020. But will be a bit smaller in size.
iPad Mini 6 Expected Features
Also, by removing the home button from below the display, Apple might shift to the Touch ID to the power button. The device will sport better speakers, Apple’s A14 processor, and support for 5G. All these would make the iPad mini 6 a good overall package.
Not only this, the device’s lightning connector is now replaced with a USB-C port, thanks to the modern iPad models. You can choose from three color options of the iPad mini 6, viz. Rose Gold, Silver, and Black. Personally, I would go with Rose Gold or Black. What about you?
There are high chances that the new iPad will come with Apple Pencil support. Yes, you heard that right.
However, the current Apple Pencil won’t work with it. So, you will have to buy a separate (smaller) one for it. All the above-mentioned specs and features are simply rendered leaks. There is no official confirmation for it yet. So, we have to wait till Apple announces anything related to the iPad mini.
So, till then, stay tuned to Akashbaani for more updates!
