PM Modi: The First Indian PM To Chair UN Security Council Debate Today
Today 5:30 Pm IST PM Modi will chair the UN Security Council debate. Furthermore, PM Narendra Modi will be the first Indian prime minister to chair a high-level open debate. This debate’s main topic is improvement in Maritime Security.
Today at the UNSC debate PM Modi with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and including other world leaders will participate in the debate. According to the government. In the UN Security Council, maritime security is the center of discussion. The nation’s approach will be holistic.
“ It is not easy for a particular country to look into the matter of maritime security. It is important to take this issue as a vital subject in UN Security Council. Also, try to prevent the traditional and non-traditional threats related to maritime security.” As said by the government.
PM Modi will also bring up the vision SAGAR ( security and growth for all in the region).
The main aim of this is the sustainable ways to utilize the ocean. As a result The proper framework for safe protected and stable maritime areas. By MEA.
IPOI ( indo-pacific oceans initiative) put forward the idea at the East Asian Summit 2019. Its main aim was several maritime security pillars as a result of, Maritime Resources, Ecology, capacity building, resource sharing, disaster risk reduction, and several others.
