SRH vs DC match to go as scheduled despite Natarajan being Covid+

As things progress, the Covid crisis seems to be scaring cricket lovers again. Now, SRH is in the eye of the storm. The Indian Premier League 2021 is under the radar of the pandemic for the second time now. This is because news comes that Sunrisers Hyderabad’s T. Natarajan has tested Covid positive.

According to a press release by the BCCI, the fast bowler is asymptomatic. The medical team has identified six close contacts have been identified which also include Vijay Shankar (SRH’s All-rounder), Vijay Kumar (team manager), Shyam Sundar J (Physiotherapist), and others. Now, all of them have been isolated!

T. Natarajan tested positive in the scheduled RT-PCR tests. The rest of the SRH squad returned negative results which were conducted at 5 am on Wednesday. They can proceed with tonight’s clash against Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International Stadium.

Earlier in May, the IPL had to be brought to an abrupt halt. It was because of the increased Covid cases in the tournament during the second wave. However, the BCCI managed to move the tournament to the UAE. But, just three matches into the resumption, things have started going astray again.

Though UAE is a different and stricter environment, the virus has still broken into the bio-secure bubble. The previous matches have all been amazing and have brought back the thrill of the IPL. Cricket lovers look forward to the successful completion of the tournament.
