Tackling Covid: Changes India underwent to safeguard itself
In India, 78 % of the adult population has received the first dose of vaccination while 19.4% have been fully vaccinated. India witnessed an average of 30,000 cases within the past three days.
Kerala contributes quite 60 percent of the cases, while Maharashtra contributes 13 percent of the cases.
CELEBRATION OF FESTIVALS DURING COVID
The spike in cases in Kerala had appeared after the celebration of Onam. In order to avoid such circumstances, the government has prohibited an outsized gathering throughout Ganpati Utsav. Instead, people are preferring virtual darshan.
India is taking all these steps in order to avoid facing situations similar to the second wave. During that time period individuals stopped taking precautions, several didn’t even wear masks.
This mistake has already costed several lives.
Though the government is attempting to curb the unfolding Covid, yet we tend to see several individuals roaming out without masks. As a result, cases have started to reappear in states and union territories like Delhi, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Tripura, Andaman, Ladakh, Chandigarh, and Dadar.
Hopefully, people will become more aware and India will tackle Covid safely!
