The tennis tournament Wimbledon Championship 2021 is well-known. The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London hosted the competition this year. As we all know, the covid-19 pandemic wreaked havoc over the world. Thus, the tournament rescheduled for a later date.
The Wimbledon championship 2021, on the other hand, began on Monday, June 28th, 2021 and ended on July 11th, 2021. Furthermore, this was the 134th edition and 127th staging of the women Singles championship tournament. This tournament is also known as the 53rd in the open era and the year’s third Grand Slam competition.
The match reportedly took place on a grass court, although it is still a member of the ATP, WTA, ITF Junior Circuit, and ITF Wheelchair tennis tours. This year’s tournament was organised by the All England Lawn Tennis Club and the International Tennis Federation.
Let us now turn our attention to the tournament’s results. Novak Djokovic is the world’s number one tennis player. The final match featured Novak Djokovic against Italian powerhouse Matteo Berrettini. As a consequence, Novak Djokovic defeated Italian player Matteo Berrettini in the final on Sunday, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-4, 6-3.
Novak ultimately won the match, giving him his sixth Wimbledon title and 20th Grand Slam title overall. Novak overcame the disappointment of losing his first set in the tiebreaker round and went on to dominate the rest of the match, winning the next three sets.
