Mamata Banerjee on NMP, Assets belong to the Country and PM Modi doesn’t own them
As the 2024 elections are approaching, the political statements are getting heated up. Recently, the NMP was termed as shocking and unfortunate by the Trinamool Congress supremo.
The assets of the country are not the private properties of the Prime Minister or the BJP. The Centre cannot just sell them according to their choice. The CM of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, expressed her concerns and criticized the Centre’s National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) policy.
Furthermore, Banerjee alleged that the money raised by selling the assets will be used during the next elections against the opposition.
In an interview with the state secretariat Nabanna, Banerjee mentioned that the entire country would stand together against this anti-people decision of the Central Government.
Earlier, FM Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday declared Rs 6 lakh crore National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) that will unlock the value in infrastructure assets across varying from power to roads and railways.
Moreover, the BJP should be ashamed of themselves. No one has given them the right to sell of Nations’ assets. Banerjee expressed herself further into the matter.
Bengal’s BJP unit did not keep quiet. Reacting to the statements of CM Banerjee, BJP members wonder how the TMC party could sell off assets belonging to the state government. If they can sell state property, why are they making an issue when the Centre is doing the same?
BJP spokesperson Shamik Bhattacharya targeted the opposition. Why did the TMC government sell several assets in the past ten years? Who owned those assets? The TMC party or the state government? TMC leader Mamata Banerjee should first answer these questions.
CM Banerjee also slammed a section of the BJP leaders for their demand of dividing the state.
Chief Minister Banerjee further commented that BJP has lost the assembly polls. But their Central Leader’s travel to West Bengal as daily passenger’s. Now BJP wants to divide our state. Their motives are well understood and would be opposed in tooth and nail.
The rift between the political parties is nothing new. Also, as the 2024 elections are nearing, the allegations are becoming intense.
