Students build a robot to solve the problem of drain block in Arakkunanam,
They study at Toc H Institue Of Science and Technology(TIST).
The students build the robot for the Chottanikkara panchayat under the scheme “Unnatth Bharat Abhiyan”
Why Did The Students Build The Robot?
The UBA scheme encourages institutions to interact with the villagers and help them in solving their problems.
The institutions have to choose a local body and then work to attain the solution of their problem.
In this case, the local authorities demanded a solution for the clogging of the drains.
How Does The Robot Function?
When told about the clogging of drains, the students of the electronics department came up with the solution of remote-controlled Tunnel-Rat.
It portrays the obstacles that come in its way while removing them simultaneously with its hand.
