The Indian media partner of the ‘Pegasus Project’ was ‘The Wire’ has reported these names from the list so far.
Journalists:-
Apparently, some of the Journalists include –
- MK VENU and Siddharth Varadarajan- Founding editors of The Wire. However, their phones were analysed and traces of Pegasus were found.
- Sushant Singh- An Indian Express Journalists who generally writes on national security.
- Paranjoy Guha Thakurta- Former editor of Economic and Political Weekly magazine. Currently writes for Newsclick. However, Forensic analysis of his phone revealed that his phone was compromised.
- SNM Abdi- Former Outlook journalist. His phone was also found compromised after a forensic analysis.
- Vijaita Singh- Currently working for The Hindu as a journalist who generally covers Home Ministry. Her phone also showed an attempt at hacking. However, there is no proof that her phone was surely compromised.
- Shashir Gupta- He is a freelance citizen journalist. He generally writes exposes for The Wire. His expertise is in controversial business dealings.
- Devirupa Mitra- She is the diplomatic editor of The Wire.
- Prashant Jha- He is views editor of the Hindustan Times, he is also a former bureau chief for the same organization.
- Prem Shankar Jha- A retired journalist who was a former editor at the Hindustan Times.
- Swati Chaturvedi- A freelance journalist who has written a famous book on BJP IT cell and its activities named I Am A Troll.

- Abhishek Banerjee: A Trinamool Congress MP and nephew of chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
- Ashwini Vaishnav: a former IAS officer, made a cabinet minister in the recent change of the cabinet.
- Prahlad Singh Patel: Another cabinet minister in the Union government.
- Pravin Togadia: Former head of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

- Samujjal Bhattacharjee: An advisor to the All Assam Students Union and member of the high-level committee to look into the implementation of Clause Six of the Assam Accord.

- Venkata Rao Posina: Dassault Aviation’s representative in India.
- Inderjit Sial: Former Saab India head.
- Pratyush Kumar: Boeing India boss.
- Harmanjit Nagi: Head of the French energy firm EDF.
Tibetan officials, activists, clerics in India
Besides, the list of Tibetan officials, as well as activists, includes-
- Tempa Tsering: Dalai Lama’s long-term envoy in New Delhi.
- Tenzin Taklha: Senior aide of the Dalai Lama’s.

- Mirwaiz Umar Farooq: A separatist leader and head of the Hurriyat Conference, and also a chief cleric of the Jama Masjid.
- Waqar Bhatti: human rights activist Kashmir.
- Zaffar Akbar Bhat: a prominent separatist leader.

Pegasus took its target to the National Security figures as well. Hence, the list includes-
- K.K. Sharma: He was the head of the Border Security Force.
- Jagdish Maithani: BSF inspector general who was integral to the Union home ministry’s comprehensive integrated border management system (CIBMS) or smart fencing project.
- Jitendra Kumar Ojha: An senior official from the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
- Colonel Mukul Dev: An army officer who took on the government order that scrapped free rations for officers who are posted in peace areas.
- Colonel Amit Kumar: Another army officer who filed a petition in the Supreme Court on behalf of 356 Army personnel against what they apprehended was an impending dilution of the Armed Forces (Special Forces) Act (AFSPA).
Businesspersons, PSU bureaucrats, and lobbyists
