Poco F3 GT with Dimensity 1200 SoC and Gaming Specs launched in India

After teasing the smartphone on various social media handles, Poco has launched the new Poco F3 GT smartphone in India. Poco F3 GT is a rebranded version of Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which was launched in China back in April 2021.

Dubbed as ‘Switch it up,’ the smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s flagship processor Dimensity 1200. Let us discuss the smartphone in detail below:

Poco F3 GT: Specifications

Unlike any other smartphone in India, the Poco F3 GT features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. This makes it the first smartphone from the company to have an AMOLED panel.

The display has all the essential features like HDR10, DCI-P3 color gamut support and up to 1300 nits of peak brightness. Further, the smartphone is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 from front and back.

Coming to the design, the entire chassis of the smartphone is built with high-quality aluminum. It has up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, with no option of an expandable microSD card slot. For multimedia consumption, the company has provided dual stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. Further, it has two 5G bands in case you’re wondering about its 5G compatibility.

Gaming Features

Now, coming to other specs, the new Poco F3 GT has physical gaming triggers that `activate a gaming mode. As per the company, these triggers will have better mechanical responses and their design will avoid accidental touches.

Not only this, but the smartphone also has vapor chamber cooling with multiple layers of the graphene heat sink. So, for all the gamers out there, the smartphone can run gamers smoothly.

For optics, Poco F3 GT sports a triple camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with 119-degree FOV, and a 2MP macro lens. For all your video calls needs, there is a 16MP selfie camera. The rear camera also has RGB lighting around the lens that emits during charging.

The smartphone is backed by a huge 5,065mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. And don’t worry; the charger is bundled in the box. The company claims the smartphone to charge from 0-50% in just 15 minutes, which is great.

However, do note that it doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. But the company has bundled a 3.5mm to Type-C connector in the box. So, it’s good news for all the users who enjoy content using the wired earphones.

Poco F3 GT: Price and Availability

The gaming-centric flagship smartphone from Poco, Poco F3 GT, will come in two colors- Predator Black and Gunmetal Silver. To create hype around the smartphone and to attract sales, the company is offering a discount in the first 2 weeks in India. The smartphone will be available for sale from 26 July at 12 noon.
