A recent Lucknow incident has gone viral across all social media channels. Yes, you guessed correctly. It’s been dubbed the “Lucknow girl” by some. The event occurred on July 30th in Awadh Chauraha, Lucknow, according to the police.
Lucknow incident: What actually happened?
Apparently, a woman crosses a red light, and the cab came to a complete stop in front of her. The car driver reported that he observed the red light and quickly came to a complete stop. The woman (Priyadarshani Narayan) then stole the cab driver’s phone (Shahadat Ali) and broke it.
Despite this, she is said to have struck the driver about 22 times (clearly visible in the video). Surprisingly, traffic cops and other passersby stood by and watched the entire scene unfold as if it were a movie or something, rather than stopping it. After a while, a person arrived and attempted to halt the altercation, but the women began hitting him as well.
According to a report in the Times of India, an FIR has been filed against that woman under sections 394 (voluntarily inflicting harm in community robbery) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the sum of Rs. 50) of the Indian penal code.
However, the CCTV footage came to light on Monday. Furthermore, after seeing the footage, bundles of people demanded the arrest of the women.
However, Ali filed an FIR against the woman after the video went viral on social media.
Nonetheless, What are your thoughts on the situation? Who do you believe is to blame?
